BLOG 27: パンチ·パンチ·フォーエバー!

 今週まつユーチューブで パンチ·パンチ·フォーエバー(Punch Punch Forever!)を見ました。

It is a Japanese animated series that blends アクション (action) and comedy (アクション), and it revolves around a fighting tournament where combatants (including humans, demons, and other strange figures) face off in brutal battles!

In particular, the series follows まつもと ごご ちゃん, a young martial-arts fighter! ごご ちゃんは 小さい です が, とても つよい です。She always defeats all the bad guys!!

In this episode, ごご ちゃん and her かぞく come to the conclusion that they need to take a break from fighting and tournaments, so the mom suggests going camping in the forest to relax. 

They head to what is supposed to be a quiet, secret spot, but they run into a creepy old shack and a strange creature living in the woods. 

This creature recognizes  ごご ちゃん from the tournament. 

He doesn't want to fight  ごご ちゃん, so he sends his daughter (below).

Long story short, there is lots of hiding and fighting, despite the danger of the situation, ごご ちゃん ultimately wins the match, and the father and daughter leave! After the fight, everyone praises ごご ちゃん for being brave and strong!! And then the episode ends with some family drama 😅

Overall, it was super cool to watch a random piece of media online and be able to understand some of it! I would say that I didn't get about 80% of it, but when I did recognize words here and there (including when ごご ちゃん and the family first get at the campsite, they talk about yummy sandwiches and how quiet it is), I was excited!

I hope that I can listen to a lot more media in the future! Let me know if you have any recommendations!
